Laser engraved baseball bats for Nike with artwork by Kevin Cantrell and Juan Carlos Pagan. Inspired by old world typography that imbues the spirit of baseball, this piece was awarded to the winners of the 2015 and 2016 All American Classic Home Run Derby.
The design was etched onto a surface that was supposedly impossible to laser. I love it when a designer breaks the rules, produces something beyond the realms of the expected, and breaks new ground with a successful implementation. A stunning result. -Karen Welman, TDC 62 Judge
